The estimated budget presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for 2018-19 was quite rural focused. The absolute value for expenditure in almost every sector was higher when compared with last year’s revised estimates. However, expenditure as a percentage of GDP fell in important sectors such as Health, Education and Rural Development which in turn can have possible effects on the expected deliverable.
